Testimonies

Drummers come, and drummers go. I have been playing the drums for over twenty years now, and I always knew that that was what God wanted me to do with my life. I followed a great drummer, Robert Hinkley, who was the original drummer when Olivet first started. Back in the middle 90s, I was introduced to Olivet by Darryl Mansir, lead singer and one of the original guitarists for the band. He saw how good of a drummer I was and asked me if I wanted to be a part of Olivet. There have been many ups and downs in my life, but being a part of Olivet has kept me strong in my faith with God. I hope that through my drumming with Olivet, people won't just be entertained, but my goal is to minister with my instrument. I never joined Olivet to lift myself up or to say look at me and see how good I am. My goal is to lift up Christ with the drums. May God be glorified through the message in our songs. And if we never get any fame or fortune with our band, I will be satisfied just knowing that someone got saved and gave their life to Christ after listening to one of our songs! We are not here to lift up ourselves but to lift up Christ with our music.
